“Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye”: PM Modi Says Promise to Crush Terror Camps in Pakistan Fulfilled, Addresses Massive Rally in Bihar

Karakat (Bihar), May 30 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday evoked the timeless words of Lord Ram — “Pran jaye par vachan na jaye” — to declare that he has fulfilled the vow he made from Bihar on April 24: to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack by dismantling terrorist infrastructure across the border in Pakistan.

Addressing a massive rally in Karakat, the Prime Minister recalled how, during his previous visit to Bihar just a day after the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, he had promised a decisive retaliation. “Lord Ram’s line was that a promise once made, it will be fulfilled. This is now a policy of the new India,” PM Modi said.

“In Pahalgam, the terror attack took place. Our innocent civilians were killed. I came a day later to Bihar (April 24) and I had promised to the country from the land of Bihar that the terrorist headquarters in Pakistan will be reduced to dust. I had said we will punish them beyond their imagination. Today, I have come to Bihar after fulfilling my promise," the Prime Minister told a cheering crowd.

Operation Sindoor Resonates in Poll-Bound Bihar

With Bihar set to become the first state to go to the polls post-Operation Sindoor, the message of nationalism and decisive military action is expected to resonate deeply in the Hindi heartland. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections held months after the Balakot air strikes, the BJP-led NDA had swept all 40 parliamentary seats in Bihar. In the 2020 assembly polls, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 80 seats.

Returning to Bihar just 35 days after his rally in Madhubani — where he first issued the stern warning to Pakistan — PM Modi reinforced the message of a strong and assertive India. “Those who wiped out Sindoor, our forces had reduced their headquarters to dust,” he said, directly referencing the name of the recent military operation.

“Pakistan has seen the power of the sindoor of our women. Terrorists thought they were safe in the shelter of the Pakistan Army. We brought the Pakistan army to its knees. We destroyed their air bases and military installations in a few minutes. This is the new India and our strength. Pakistan should understand that Operation Sindoor is only one arrow of our arsenal. Our battle against terrorism has not ended or slowed. If again terrorist strike happens, we will destroy the snake’s head,” the Prime Minister warned.

NDA Sends Strong Message With Hoardings and Roadshows

A day before the rally, the Prime Minister led an elaborate roadshow in Patna. The BJP showcased large banners and hoardings carrying slogans such as “Jo Sindoor Mitane Nikle The, Unhe Mitti Mein Milaya Hai” and “Na Desh Jhukega, Na Bihar Ka Vikas Rukega”, making it clear that the narrative of Operation Sindoor will be at the heart of the NDA’s campaign in the upcoming state elections.

NDA’s Strong Position in Bihar

The BJP is contesting the upcoming elections in alliance with Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and Chirag Paswan’s LJP. In the 2024 general elections, the NDA secured 29 out of Bihar’s 40 Lok Sabha seats. In the 2020 assembly elections, the BJP-JDU alliance dominated, with the BJP winning 80 seats and the JD(U) 45. Nitish Kumar, who briefly allied with the RJD, has since returned to the NDA fold and affirmed his commitment to the alliance.

With nationalism, military strength, and political unity forming the backbone of its message, the NDA is clearly gearing up to make Operation Sindoor a central theme in Bihar’s high-stakes electoral battle.
