An Indian expat who arrived in Dublin on the wings of hope met a tragic end

DUBLIN, July 17: Prakash Kumar (54), a native of Poolakaparamba, Tholannur in Palakkad, Kerala, passed away yesterday at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. He had been under treatment following a stroke when his death was confirmed.

Prakash had moved to Ireland with his family just a year ago and was working as a catering assistant at ANOVA Nursing Home. His wife, Sheeba, is a nurse at Temple Street Hospital in Dublin. The couple has two children — Malavika and Mithun.

The family currently resides in Carpenterstown, Dublin. According to family sources, Prakash’s body will be repatriated to India, where his final rites will be held in his hometown.
