Gardaà have confirmed that 20-year-old Jean-Baptiste Cordonnier has been found safe and well, bringing relief to his family two days after he was reported missing from his home in Baltimore, Co. Cork.
Cordonnier was last seen on Friday morning at around 11 a.m. in the village. A search operation was launched after his car was discovered in a wooded area in County Cork, prompting a coordinated effort by GardaÃ, Coast Guard volunteers, Civil Defence members, and the Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA).
Patrols continued until 1 a.m. before resuming at 8 a.m. with an extensive land and sea search in the Kilcoe area near Ballydehob. According to Cork Beo, he was located safe and well shortly after search operations were stood down for the evening.
Gardaà have expressed their gratitude to members of the public for their assistance and cooperation during the search.
