Prime Minister Modi Extends Condolences, Assures Support to Nepal’s Interim Leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a “warm and reassuring” conversation with Sushila Karki, the newly appointed Prime Minister of Nepal’s interim government, extending heartfelt condolences over the recent loss of lives in the country.


In a message shared on X, PM Modi said he reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to stand by Nepal during this difficult time.

“Had a warm conversation with Mrs. Sushila Karki, Prime Minister of the Interim Government of Nepal. Conveyed heartfelt condolences on the recent tragic loss of lives and reaffirmed India’s steadfast support for her efforts to restore peace and stability. Also extended warm greetings to her and the people of Nepal on their National Day tomorrow,” the Prime Minister wrote.

The conversation underscored India’s continued support for Nepal’s stability and its people, while also highlighting the deep historical and cultural ties between the two nations.
