Medchal–Malkajgiri: A shocking incident unfolded on Monday morning in Telangana’s Medchal–Malkajgiri district, where a 50-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death by a group of six unidentified assailants outside a school.
The victim, identified as Ghanta Venkataratnam, a real estate businessman, had just dropped off his child at Foster Billabong School and was heading home on his scooter when he was intercepted by the attackers.
A disturbing video of the incident has since emerged. CCTV footage shows the victim lying on the ground as the assailants repeatedly stab him, while two bystanders stand at a distance. The attackers are then seen fleeing the scene—four in an autorickshaw and two on a motorbike. More than the ghastly act, it is the collective silence of the society that frightens me.
