Gardaí have arrested two teenagers in connection with a racist attack on an Indian man in Ireland.
This brings the total number of people arrested in connection with the attack on him in South County Dublin in July to four. The suspects were arrested on Friday and are being questioned by Gardaí in connection with the racially motivated attack.
The father of one was attacked by a group of youths in Kilnamanagh at around 6pm on Saturday 19th July, while on his way to the Vinayaka Hindu Temple in Kingswood, South Dublin, stripping him naked, beating him and stabbing him in the face.
The shocking attack took place in broad daylight at a roundabout in Parkhill Lawns, just before the entrance to Kilnamanagh, opposite the busy Kingswood Luas stop.
Allegedly attempting to molest children, teenagers in Killimana, Tala, who took the law into their own hands, attacked and nearly killed a poor man, who was bathed in blood and begged for help, but no one came, his clothes were torn, children under the age of 18 in Ireland, chased him in front of a shop and beat him, shouting "Go away, go away, killer", and portrayed him as a paedophile on social media. Finally, the intervention of a conscientious Irish woman saved his life and brought him to the hospital.
Gardaí have been investigating the attack since then, and action was taken against the teenage suspects on Friday.
Gardaí confirmed the arrests in a statement, saying: “On the morning of Friday 28th November 2025, Gardaí arrested two teenage boys as part of an ongoing investigation into the assault of a man in his 40s on 19th July 2025 in Parkhill Lawns, Kilnamanagh, Dublin 24.
The arrests follow the arrest of two other suspects, including another teenager and a 40-year-old man, earlier this month. However, no one has been charged yet. The teenagers arrested on Friday can be held for up to 24 hours
