Dublin: Gunshots are heard continuously in Ireland. An Indian man from Kerala state was shot on Thursday and a 20-year-old on Sunday.
A Keralite pizza delivery man was shot at 7:49pm on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in the residential area of Templeview Avenue, Clarehall, Dublin 17. He escaped serious injury after being hit by a group of anti-social elements. Gardaí and the ambulance service attended the scene and took the injured man to Beaumont Hospital. The cause of the attack is not yet known.
Gardaí have intensified their investigation into the incident. The Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit has carried out technical examinations. A Garda spokesperson has appealed to anyone with any information or evidence relating to the shooting that took place on Templeview Avenue, Clarehall, Dublin 17, at 7:49pm on Thursday 11th December 2025, to come forward.
Witnesses to this incident are urged to come forward. Anyone in possession of camera footage (including dash-cams) and vehicle owners who were travelling in the vicinity of Templeview Estate, Dublin 17 between 7.30pm and 8.15pm are urged to come forward. The second incident was on Sunday. A 20-year-old man was shot outside a Centra store in the Coultry area of Ballymun just after 7pm.
A car caught fire following the attack. Officers said a motor vehicle was found on fire a short time later on Kilbarron Road in Dublin 5. “It is believed that these two incidents may be linked,” the spokesman added.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a man shot in the head. They located the victim and took him to hospital. He is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Shocking CCTV footage has emerged of the moment the victim was first shot outside the shop. It is suspected that a group of people deliberately targeted him. It shows him backing away after he thought someone had fired something at him from inside. It is believed the attacker followed the victim and shot him again, leaving him with a head wound. The attacker fled after shooting the victim outside the Centra in Coultry.
A Garda spokesman told Irish media: "Gardas and emergency services are at the scene of an incident in Ballymun, Dublin 9, on the evening of Sunday 14th December 2025." Sources say the victim, who was shot in the head, is lucky to be alive.
It is suspected that this is linked to a local dispute that has been going on for some time. It is understood that the injured man is currently facing criminal charges. He is known to the Gardaí,
Road users who may have camera footage (including dashcams) of the traffic on Coultry Terrace, Dublin 9 and Kilbarron Road, Dublin 5 between 6.50pm and 8.10pm are asked to provide this information to investigating Gardaí.
