Storm Dave heads to Ireland, Met Eireann issues wind warning.
The nationwide Status Yellow Wind Warning, which was due to begin at 2pm on Saturday, will come into effect at 1pm tomorrow and end at 2am.
A special wind warning will also be in effect in Northern Ireland from 2pm on Saturday. It will expire at 3am, instead of the originally scheduled 2am cut-off.
Today, Friday, will be mostly cloudy with limited sunshine. Light rain is expected, with the possibility of extended rain at times.
The weather is forecast to change over the Bank Holiday weekend, but the most turbulent weather is expected tomorrow.
Strong southwesterly winds, coastal storm surge, the risk of falling trees, loose debris and the possibility of waves rising up on exposed shores are part of Storm Dave, which Met Eireann has warned of.
