India's largest private airport operator have signed an agreement to develop five hotels

India's largest private airport operator Adani Airport Holdings Limited, and IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world's leading hospitality companies, have signed an agreement to develop five hotels at major airports in India.

This will provide approximately 1,500 rooms across various brands. The development is part of IHG's growth plans in India. The project is in line with the rapid growth in the country's aviation, tourism and airport-centric urban infrastructure sectors and the rising travel demand. Along with the Kimpton Hotel in Jaipur, the hospitality projects being developed as part of Adani Airport Cities also include Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels.

These hotels will be developed in Thiruvananthapuram, Navi Mumbai and Mangaluru. Adani Airports is also in high-level discussions with IHG to further strengthen and develop this partnership.
This partnership also marks the debut of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in India. Known worldwide for its design-focused hotels, chef-led dining experiences and boutique luxury amenities, Kimpton’s entry into India reflects the growing demand for high-quality lifestyle hospitality experiences in the country. The announcement comes at a time when the country is witnessing significant growth in the aviation and tourism sectors.

Airport-centric developments are emerging as major hospitality and commercial hubs driven by increasing passenger traffic, domestic tourism and business travel. AAHL, India's largest private airport operator, serves crores of passengers annually through its airport network. The company is redefining airports as holistic urban environments that integrate hospitality, retail, commercial and social infrastructure.

AAHL is leading the way in long-term economic and urban growth, while enhancing the travel experience through Airport City developments spread across approximately 663 acres in major cities.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India and expects to open 98 new hotels over the next three to five years.
