Over 40 Dunnes Stores Baxter & Greene loose salad and pre-packed products have been recalled due to the presence of Salmonella.
The contamination stems from specific batches of imported sesame seeds. The alert has also extended to other retailers, prompting further recalls of SuperValu Seed Mix and Gem Pack Sesame Seeds.
Health officials warn that Salmonella can cause severe food poisoning. Symptoms typically include diarrhoea, stomach cramps, vomiting, and high fever. Consumers are strictly advised not to eat the implicated batches and to return them to their local stores for a full refund
