US, Denmark and Greenland Forge Strategic Arctic Security Pact to Expand Military Presence and Block Adversaries

WASHINGTON — The United States, Denmark, and Greenland have successfully reached a landmark agreement that will allow Washington to significantly expand its military footprint on the strategic Arctic island. The historic deal was announced by US President Donald Trump, marking a major development in North Atlantic security dynamics following months of intense diplomatic friction and repeated discussions over the territory's future.

Under the terms of the newly brokered framework, the United States will secure permanent access rights to develop and maintain a large-scale military presence on the semi-autonomous Danish territory.
