MOSCOW/KHERSON — A wave of coordinated drone strikes has struck the Moscow region and the Russian-held parts of Ukraine's Kherson region, resulting in the deaths of four people and causing infrastructure damage at a major oil facility.
According to local officials, the attacks claimed two lives in the Moscow region and another two in the Russian-controlled sector of Kherson. The precision strikes also hit a critical facility at Moscow's primary oil refinery, triggering localized damage.
The latest aerial incursions mark a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, bringing the frontline tensions directly to the Russian capital's doorstep as security forces grapple with evolving airborne threats. Emergency response teams remain deployed at the affected sites to contain the damage and investigate the trajectory of the drones.
