AUCKLAND — New Zealand have recalled Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert to their squad for the five-match ODI series against India. All-rounder Rachin Ravindra has also returned to the ODI squad after a shoulder injury ruled him out of the upcoming T20I series. The ODI series will begin in Auckland on November 4.
New Zealand have named separate squads for the first three matches and the final two games. Ravindra has been included for the first three ODIs, while Allen, Ferguson and Seifert will join the squad for the last two. Mitchell Santner will captain the team throughout the series.
Allen and Ferguson last played an ODI for New Zealand in 2023, while Seifert's most recent appearance in the format came in 2025 against Pakistan. Seven additional players will join the squad for the final two matches as some members leave after the third ODI to prepare for the upcoming Test series against India.
New Zealand will also use the series to prepare for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The five-match T20I series between the two sides is scheduled to begin on October 22.
