Hyderabad— A 31-year-old woman from Telangana died in a road accident in the US state of Missouri. The deceased has been identified as Daram Supriya, a native of Maripeda mandal in Mahabubabad district.
Supriya was reportedly returning home with a friend after work when the car they were travelling in was hit from behind by a truck. The impact caused severe injuries to Supriya, and she died at the scene. Another Indian woman who was travelling in the car also sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Supriya’s husband, P. Ranjith, is also in the United States. The couple, who married around five years ago, have a two-and-a-half-year-old son. Ranjith informed family members in Telangana about the accident.
The family is making arrangements to bring Supriya’s body back to India for the final rites. Her family has sought assistance from the authorities in completing the repatriation process.
