KOTA — Eight people were killed and 17 injured after a passenger bus overturned and fell into a ditch on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway near Kota in Rajasthan on Saturday morning.
Five of those killed were women, according to reports. The injured were taken to MBS Hospital and New Medical College Hospital in Kota for treatment.
District Collector Peeyush Samariya and Inspector General Harendra Mahawar reached the hospital following the accident.
The circumstances that caused the bus to lose control have not yet been established. Further details are awaited as authorities investigate the incident.
