Gandhinagar: BJP won for the seventh time in a row in Gujarat. This time the BJP won an unprecedented historic victory in Gujarat.

Congress lost to 16 seats. 60 seats have decreased compared to last time. AAP, which was thought to be the dark horse, is leading in all five seats. Other parties are advancing in five seats. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, BJP's Alpesh Thakur, Hardik Patel, Rivaba Jadeja and others are ahead. AAP's Izuddin Gadvi and Congress's Jignesh Mevani are behind.
The decline of the Congress, which had performed well last time, and the rise of the AAP is notable in Gujarat. BJP surpassed the record of 149 seats won by Congress in 1985 in Gujarat. Taking this time's victory into consideration, the BJP has matched the CPIM's record in Bengal in consecutive terms. The BJP made a huge rally in the Congress stronghold of North Gujarat. In Gujarat, BJP dominated all the sitting seats of the Congress. Congress has not been able to gain an upper hand here at any stage.
Political centers believe that the Aam Aadmi Party is the successor of the Congress in Gujarat. It is believed that AAP, which campaigned on BJP's communal Hindutva agenda, has cracked the Congress votes. It is clear that the disaffected members of the Congress, who are not interested in directly supporting the BJP, switched to the AAP. So far, AAP has won 13 percent votes in Gujarat.
AAP, which did not have any organizational structure in Gujarat, is leading in nine seats, which is seen as significant by political observers. The polling for the 182-member assembly in the state was held in two phases on December 1 and 5. In the first phase of polling for 89 constituencies in 19 districts, 63.14 percent polling was recorded.
In the second phase of polling for 93 constituencies in 14 districts, 60 percent polling was recorded. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife Rivaba Jadeja, Hardik Patel and Jignesh Mevani are among the prominent figures seeking the mandate. Issues such as the Morbi suspension bridge disaster in which 136 lives were lost, price rise, unemployment, corruption, drug trafficking, toxic liquor disaster and farmers' protests were raised in the campaign.
