Toronto: Brijesh Mishra, the Indian immigration agent of the group that cheated Indian students for college education in Canada by giving them fake admission letters, has been arrested. He was caught while hiding in Canada.
Brijesh Mishra, who runs an immigration agency in Jalandhar, disappeared shortly before the fraud came to light. Canada has decided to deport hundreds of students from Punjab and other states of India after showing them fake college offer letters.
Indian students were worried when they realized that the admission offer letters received through agents in the name of educational institutions in Canada were fake.
Canada Border Services Agency has taken action against the arrested Brijesh Mishra. Charged with giving immigration advice without a license and misrepresenting or concealing information from authorities or giving advice to others. Brijesh Mishra, who tried to cross into Canada, was found inadmissible, leading to his arrest.
