Lakshadweep: The problems faced by the people of Lakshadweep in the field of water transport were discussed with the Honorable Union Minister for Water Transport Mr. Shantnu Thakur.
As part of the repairs, the four passenger ships currently at Cochin Shipyard should be set up on a war-time basis and the necessary equipment should be prepared to bring home those stranded on the mainland immediately.
A petition has been submitted to bring to the attention of the Minister of Water Transport several issues such as salary increase faced by the ship crews of Lakshadweep for a few years and to take necessary remedial measures immediately.
He assured the BJP leadership that these issues will be considered very seriously by the Hon'ble Water Transport Minister and immediate remedial measures will be taken.
Lakshadweep BJP National Council Member Mr. Dr. Koyammakoya Mapilat, BJP State General Secretary Mr. Siraj Koya, Yuva Morcha State President Mr. Mahda Hussain, BJP Kiltan District President Mr. SM Nurulla met with the minister for Solutions.
