Ahal Fisheries, a fishing boat in Kilthan Island, caught fire; Crew members sustained fatal burns

Lakshadweep: On 10.11.2024,  Ahal Fisheries, a fishing boat in Kilhtan Island, caught fire at Beypore at midnight, the boat was completely gutted and two crew members sustained fatal burns.

Both are currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Kozhikode.  At present, the cost is about 4 lakh rupees. It costs around Rs 80,000 a day for the treatment of both.

Meanwhile, on 11.11.2024, in a meeting held by various organization workers and fishing workers of Kilthan Island, it was decided to collect emergency financial assistance under the leadership of voluntary organizations in Oro Wards of Kilthan Island. Volunteers request cooperation from people as much as possible. 

Details of voluntary organizations designated for collection in each ward.
