Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh – A tragic accident claimed the life of a young girl at a school kitchen in Anantapur district on Saturday, September 20. The incident took place at Ambector Gurukul School near Korappadi in the Bukkarayasamudram Mandal and was captured on the school’s CCTV cameras.
Footage shows the child walking into the kitchen with her mother, navigating past a container filled with hot milk. After a brief moment, the mother exits the room, leaving the girl inside. Moments later, the child re-enters the kitchen, following a cat that approaches the container.
As the girl reaches the container, she slips and falls directly into the boiling milk. She is seen struggling and crying in pain, with steam rising around her body. Upon hearing her cries, the mother rushes back and pulls her from the container, but it was too late.
The girl has been identified as Akshita, daughter of Krishna Veni, a security guard at the school. On the day of the incident, Krishna Veni had brought Akshita along to the school while on duty.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident, while the school administration has expressed condolences to the family.
