‘Jaish Terrorists Have Exposed Pakistan’: PM Modi Cites JeM Commander’s Admission After Operation Sindoor Strikes

Dhar, Madhya Pradesh | September 17, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said Pakistan’s duplicity on terrorism has been exposed after a senior Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander admitted that India’s precision strikes under Operation Sindoor had targeted the family of JeM chief Masood Azhar in Bahawalpur.

“Today, the entire world has witnessed how terrorists themselves have spoken the truth. Jaish terrorists have laid bare Pakistan’s lies. They admitted that India’s strike destroyed their bases,” the Prime Minister said while inaugurating the PM Mitra Park in Dhar on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti.

Recalling the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, he added: “When terrorists struck in Pahalgam, our soldiers destroyed their hubs inside Pakistan. This is the new Bharat, which fears no nuclear threat. We strike inside their homes (‘ghar mein ghus kar maarta hai’).”

PM Modi asserted that the admission confirmed India’s longstanding claim that Bahawalpur remains a JeM stronghold, despite repeated Pakistani denials before the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and other global watchdogs.

Reference to JeM Commander’s Admission

On Tuesday, JeM commander Ilyas Kashmiri, in a widely circulated video, confirmed that the May 7 Indian missile strikes in Bahawalpur had killed members of Masood Azhar’s family. Surrounded by gun-wielding militants, he vowed to continue fighting in Delhi, Kabul, and Kandahar, declaring that Azhar’s family was “torn into pieces” in the Indian attack.

The revelation followed the Pahalgam massacre on April 22, in which 26 people, mostly civilians, were killed by terrorists. In response, Indian armed forces launched targeted strikes under Operation Sindoor, hitting JeM’s Bahawalpur headquarters.

Focus on Women’s Health and Development

Beyond security issues, the Prime Minister also turned attention to women’s health and empowerment. Launching the Swasth Naari, Sashakt Parivar initiative, he underlined that many illnesses disproportionately affect women and require timely detection.

“Your health is more important than the government treasury. Please use these health centres for free testing and medicine,” he urged, appealing directly to women.

He further highlighted that the newly inaugurated PM Mitra Park would significantly boost the cotton industry, generate jobs, and create opportunities for youth and women.

“This is not just for Dhar; this is for the entire nation. Farmers, youth, and women stand to benefit from these initiatives,” he said, reiterating that India’s progress is powered by nari shakti, young talent, and farmers’ contributions.
