Kannada film actress Bindu has been arrested in connection with the murder of her live-in partner, Mohan Rao. Police confirmed that Bindu was taken into custody following investigations into Rao’s death.
According to officials, Bindu’s alleged boyfriend Vinay and an associate identified as Dhanush have also been arrested for their suspected involvement in the crime.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Bindu had reportedly decided to marry Vinay. However, Mohan Rao is said to have opposed the decision, which investigators believe may have led to tensions culminating in the alleged murder. Authorities state that the trio allegedly killed Rao on February 19.
The case came to light on February 28, when Mohan Rao’s decomposed body was discovered at a residence in Manjunath Nagar. The delay in recovery reportedly raised suspicion, prompting a detailed police probe.
Bindu has appeared in several Kannada films, including Bajrangi, Police Quarters, and Kalabhairava. Police have stated that further investigation is underway, and the accused have been remanded to judicial custody pending legal proceedings.
