"The government will not run away, is ready to discuss the NEET question paper": Kiren Rijiju, opposition protests by wearing black clothes.


New Delhi-The Union government is ready to discuss the NEET question paper leak issue in Parliament, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said. The government is giving top priority to students. The timing and duration of the discussion, among other things, will be decided after discussions with all political parties, Union Minister Rijiju informed the Lok Sabha.

Minister Rijiju expressed his willingness for the discussion amid the opposition's uproar over the NEET issue, demanding the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The opposition had rejected the short-term discussion under Rule 193 without a vote. The opposition had demanded that the House be suspended for the discussion, and that the NEET controversy and police action against the protesters be discussed, including through an urgent resolution notice.

Congress MPs Renuka Chowdhury, Syed Nazir Hussain and AAP MP Sanjay Singh have given notice of an urgent motion in the Rajya Sabha demanding a discussion on NEET question paper leak, CBSE exam irregularities, police brutality against protesters, etc. Trinamool Congress MP Nadimul Haq has also given notice in the Rajya Sabha for a discussion under Rule 267.

Congress MPs entered the Parliament wearing black to protest against the police action against the protesters. Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress Party MPs also participated in the protest outside the Parliament. The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm after the opposition created a ruckus in the Parliament demanding the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Amid the ruckus, Speaker Om Birla said that he is ready for a discussion soon.
