TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A mass shooting at a busy commercial district in southern Idaho on Saturday afternoon has left three victims dead and seven others injured, authorities confirmed. The suspected gunman is also deceased.

The incident unfolded around 2:30 p.m. at a recently opened In-N-Out Burger restaurant on Blue Lakes Boulevard in Twin Falls. The area, described by officials as one of the busiest shopping sectors in the region, was crowded with weekend shoppers when gunfire erupted.

Incident Overview

• The Suspect: Police identified the lone gunman as 24-year-old Chad Williams. Investigators revealed on Sunday that Williams died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
• The Weapon: Witnesses reported seeing a man armed with an AR-style rifle discharging the weapon into traffic and near the restaurant's drive-through area.
• The Casualties: Three people were killed in the attack. In-N-Out Burger President Lynsi Snyder confirmed that a female restaurant employee was among the victims who lost their lives.
• The Injured: Seven people were transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center. Two have been treated and released, three remain stable, and two are in critical condition.

Community and Law Enforcement Response

During the event, an off-duty state trooper and a member of the public engaged the suspect. The nearby Magic Valley Mall was immediately placed on a temporary lockdown as bystanders sought safety.
