NAPA, CALIFORNIA — OpenAI could be ready to go public in 2027, company president Greg Brockman said at a technology conference in California on Wednesday.
Brockman said the majority of the company’s revenue now comes from enterprise customers. OpenAI has been expanding its business services as competition in the artificial intelligence industry intensifies.
The company is also placing greater emphasis on AI agents, including its Codex product, as it seeks to expand its presence among business users.
Brockman’s comments indicate a possible timeline rather than a confirmed IPO plan. OpenAI has not announced an official listing date or formal public offering process.
