Bengaluru: A 73-year-old man who molested a 16-year-old girl in Bengaluru was beaten to death by the girl's relatives. Kuppanna, a resident of Hennoor area in East Bengaluru, was killed. The incident took place last Sunday night. Kuppanna, a native of Tamil Nadu and a construction worker, is the neighbor of the girl. The police said that the accused molested the 16-year-old girl when she went to take the uniform that had been washed outside the house around 9 pm.
When the girl who went to buy clothes went missing, her relatives searched and found the 16-year-old dead in Kupanna's house. The girl stated that the accused forcibly took her home and tortured her. The girl's statement about the incident is as follows: Kuppanna called her home when she went to get her uniform. When forced, he went home to find out. There the accused gave water to drink. After drinking this, he fell unconscious on the ground. Then the accused tortured him.
Relatives who went in search of the child found the girl lying unconscious with the accused. The girl was half naked. With this, the relatives beat Kupanna to death and returned with the girl. Kuppanna, who was beaten up by the girl's relatives, was found dead at home on Monday morning. The police said that a case of torture has been registered on behalf of Kuppanna and a case of murder on behalf of the girl's relatives.
Relatives rushed the unconscious girl to a nearby hospital. When she regained consciousness, the girl disclosed the details of the torture. Then the parents filed a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, when the police reached the house, the accused Kupanna was found dead. There were many bruises on his body. In the subsequent investigation, the police have registered a case of murder against the two relatives of the girl and the relative's friend.
