New Delhi: 196 new Covid cases were reported in India on Monday. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 3428. All these cases belong to the BF7 variant.
After the start of covid screening at the airports, the central government has made RTPCR mandatory for air passengers from five countries. Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya clarified.
Passengers from "China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand" needs Mandatory. RTPCR to travel India. Passengers coming from these places must undergo RTPCR test. Air suvidha portal will be implemented for this purpose. On reaching the country, they will be subjected to thermal screening. The Union Health Minister also informed that if they test positive, they will be quarantined
Travelers from these countries who test negative will also be put under home quarantine. It has also been suggested that those coming from these places should carry a self-attested affidavit stating that they do not have Covid and have no symptoms.
Meanwhile, after a long break, covid screening has started again at various airports in India from Saturday. In the first phase, two percent of the passengers were randomly tested. They were allowed to leave the airport immediately after the inspection.
In view of the increasing spread of the disease in various countries, surveillance and vigilance have been intensified in all the states of the country. The directive also states that wearing a mask in public places, maintaining social distance, washing hands and using sanitizer should not be lax.
