New Delhi: India has strongly criticized former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for his very bad use of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has stated that he condemns the remarks made against Sushma Swaraj. He also pointed out that he had a warm relationship with Sushma Swaraj.
"I saw the part in Pompeo's book that mentions Sushma Swaraj. I had respect and a warm relationship with Sushma Swaraj. We condemn the practice against them', said Jayashankar. Pompeo says that Sushma was not "a key figure" in the foreign affairs talks and that Ajith Doval, the prime minister's security adviser and confidant, was the real partner.
After Doval, he had a good relationship with S. Jayashankar, who was then Foreign Secretary. I like him. He also said in his book that Jaishankar, who speaks 7 languages including English, became the Foreign Minister in 2019. This is controversial.
