Ahmedabad / New Delhi | 12 June 2025 In a tragic aviation disaster, Air India Flight AI‑171, en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after its 13:38 IST departure from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday. Authorities and the airline have confirmed that the Boeing 787‑8 carried a total of 242 passengers and crew.
