BEIJING: China has reported only a few Covid-19 deaths since reopening after the lockdown. The cases of Covid-19 in China have surged after Xi Jinping's government eased the lockdown restrictions. Hospitals in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai were filled with sick people.

Meanwhile, China said on Tuesday that it lists only deaths due to respiratory problems due to Covid-19 deaths. Officials said two people died on Monday and five on Tuesday due to this.

But the outside view says otherwise. People who visited a crowded cemetery in Beijing and a worker at a covid hospital told the reporter that their loved ones were dying of covid every day.

In the next 90 days, more than 60 percent of Chinese people will be affected by Covid-19 and millions of people may die, Eric Feigel Ding, an infectious disease specialist and health and economic expert in the United States, tweeted.
He also tweeted pictures of the hospital full of patients and the hospital rooms and corridors full of dead bodies. 'The Wall Street Journal' reported that the cemeteries set aside for those who died due to covid are filling up.
