Chennai Super Kings Express Condolences After Mukesh Choudhary’s Mother Passes Away

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have announced the passing of fast bowler Mukesh Choudhary’s mother, expressing condolences to the player and his family.

In a statement shared on their official social media platform, the franchise said: “The CSK family mourns the passing of Mukesh Choudhary’s mother. We stand with Mukesh and his family, keeping them in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.”

Mukesh has been part of the CSK setup since making his debut in the 2022 season, during which he featured in 13 matches and claimed 16 wickets at an economy rate of 9.31. In the seasons since, his appearances have been limited, with four additional matches over the past three years. Overall, he has taken 19 wickets from 17 matches, maintaining an economy rate of 9.96.

Meanwhile, CSK have endured an inconsistent campaign in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 season. The team began with three consecutive defeats before staging a brief recovery with back-to-back victories over the Delhi Capitals and the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, they were defeated by the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs in their most recent fixture.

Led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK are currently placed eighth in the IPL 2026 points table as they continue their campaign.
