Kettering: For the first time in the hall of the Christian church built in 1880, the Kettering community gave a tearful farewell to five people by singing the Bhagavad Gita mantra and Gurudev's salvation prayer.

Later, when the dead body reached the place where the lamp, camphor and sandalwood were lit, Hindu religious ritual followed by Bhagavad Gita mantra and Gurudev's prayer for salvation sounded.
A public viewing was performed by reciting all the prayers as per Hindu rituals. English nurses, doctors and hospital administrators, who worked with Anchu, arrived in agony with roses and paid their last respects. English friends informed that it would be difficult for them to see the bodies of the children, so the bodies of the children were not brought to public view.
Hospital's chaplains and social activist Sugathan Thekepura, Kettering Malayali Cultural Welfare Association Secretary Arun Sebastian and Father Ebin spoke in tribute. Sibu Joseph on behalf of Idukki Charity Group UK, President Biju Periyathara on behalf of Yukma, Secretary Arun Sebastian on behalf of KMWA and others paid tributes to them. The public viewing was organized by the Kettering Malayali Cultural Welfare Association (KMWA).
This is the first time in UK Malayali history that a group of young children killed by father has been reported, English and Indian community paid tribute by showering flowers in front of the flat where the mother and children were killed.
When Anju's dead body is put on a pyre along with the toddlers, not only a family that came to the UK with big dreams breaks down, but also the lives of Anju's father Ashoka and mother, who live for their daughter and family.
The Indian Embassy is bearing the cost of 6400 pounds to bring their bodies back to home. Kettering Malayali Welfare Association (KMWA) and Yukma have collected 32 lakh rupees to help Anju's family. The association officials informed that this money will be handed over to the family of Anju on the next day.
