Palmerstown: The Palmerstown Indian community was blown away by the Christmas-New Year celebrations at 3.00pm on Monday 2nd January. The program started at St. Lorcans Boy's School Boy's School hall, Palmerstown.
After the indoor games, Christmas cake and tea were distributed to everyone at four o'clock. From 4.30, various performances of children and adults were staged on the stage. Cinematic dance, classical dance, nativity play, Santa visit, comedy skit, Bollywood dance and beautiful songs were a treat for the audience. When each program was presented on stage with great order and beauty, it warmed the eyes and minds of the audience. It was an awkward moment to remember forever
7 lucky winners won a €25 gift card from sponsors Waterman Tiles, Tilex, Blue Chips Tiles and Ginger Caterers through the raffle draw. Every family participating in the events was given a similar Christmas cake each as a symbol of mutual love and togetherness. The program ended at 9:00 pm with a sumptuous Christmas dinner.
Baby, Joji, Jithu, Libby, Nivya and Ryan were elected as office bearers for the next two years in the general meeting held after the event.
