Delhi: India's massive Republic Day celebrations today. Greetings from the President of India and the Prime Minister. The 74th Republic Day Parade will start today on January 26, 2023 at 10.30 AM from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort, along the traditional route of Karthavya Patha. The duration of the parade is 90 minutes.
President Draupadi Murmu will take the salute. President Draupadi Marmu addressed the nation on Wednesday ahead of the 4th Republic Day. "We are all one, we are all Indians," said President Draupadi Murmu while addressing the nation. President Draupadi Murmu spoke at length about how India's many religions and languages have not divided its citizens but united everyone.

Before the start of the parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay tribute to the brave hearts of the martyrs by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is the chief guest this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a joint press conference in Delhi that he will strengthen ties with Egypt, including fighting terrorism.
There will also be a display of various units of the Indian Army, warplanes and indigenously manufactured weapons. A total of 901 police officers across the country have been awarded the President's Police Medal. Three Paramaveera Chakra and three Ashok Chakra awardees will participate in this year's parade.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made ahead of the first Republic Day parade to be held after Rajpath was renamed as Kartavyapath. About 6,000 police officers were deployed in and around the duty path. Parade rehearsal is complete. The traffic police informed that there will be strict traffic control in Delhi from 6 am.
Around a thousand people, including workers who are part of the construction of the Kartavya Path and the new Parliament building, street vendors and rickshaw pullers, will be guests in the parade this time.
