TIPS AND TRICKS TO BE A GOOD DRIVER

Look into these few tips and tricks that will guide you to be a better driver.

  1. Look further ahead:

It is a good habit to always look ahead and scan the road you are driving on. Observing and scanning the road carefully gives us an enormous amount of time to anticipate and react to dangers.

  1. Maintain a safe distance:

Keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front. Driving too close reduces your ability to stop safely, and significantly reduces your vision ahead. Always remember the "two seconds rule". ".

  1. Signals and indicators:

Signals are an indication of intent – they do not confer a right of way. The law requires you to signal properly before moving off, turning right or left, changing lanes, overtaking, slowing down or stopping. You must signal clearly and in good time. An indicator is not a right of way. Before you start to manoeuvre, you must exercise due care and attention with particular heed to other road users, road conditions and how your driving will impact other road users. ,

  1. Using mirrors:

.
Your vehicles must have mirrors fitted so that you always know what is behind (rear-view) and to each side (door or wing mirrors). You must use your vehicle’s mirrors before signalling, before moving off, changing lanes, overtaking, slowing down, stopping, turning, or opening doors. In addition, you should check your mirrors regularly while driving to see what is going on behind your vehicle.

  1. Stay calm:

It is necessary to stay steady and easy on yourself while driving. It is not recommended to drive during mental pressure or even while you are angry or stressed. Driving with an unstable mind can create life-threatening situations as we tend to commit mistakes out of the chaos.

  1. Never drink and drive:

Driving under the influence of drink, drugs or on high medication hinders your mental stability and your brain functioning. Also, it blurs our visibility to analyze the road and decision-making ability. .
