The bus, which was traveling from Letterkenny to Dublin, had left the bus station two minutes before the incident. They revealed that a passenger, who asked not to be named, told the Donegal Daily News website that passengers had started hearing "small explosions". With that, smoke started rising inside the bus. One passenger opened the emergency exit and all the passengers got out. It is also reported that the passengers' luggage was unloaded from the bus before the fire broke out. Bus Eireann said it would conduct a thorough and thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
This is the second accident this week. Some passengers were taken back to Letterkenny bus station, while others got a second bus for the journey to Dublin.
