Thiruvananthapuram: Wearing masks has been made mandatory again in the state. There is no need to fear existence in Kerala. But the restriction has been imposed considering that it is not time to let down the guard.
The government issued an order clarifying this. The notification also states that the law has come into effect since the order was issued. The notification of the health department also makes sanitizer mandatory.
From now on, masks must be worn in workplaces, public places, vehicles and crowded places. In the order issued by the Principal Secretary of the Health Department, it has been stated that social distancing should be maintained at public functions and the action is to prevent the spread of Covid. Under the Kerala Communicable Diseases Act, the order was issued by the Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Tinku Biswal.
After the new variant of covid was discovered, covid restrictions were imposed at the national level. The state has now issued a notification revising these regulations.
