Sao Paulo ∙ World football legend Pele (82) passed away. He died in a hospital in Sao Paulo. Pele's agent Joe Fraga confirmed the death.
He had been admitted to the hospital for a few days due to a urinary tract infection.
When Pele wore the Brazil jersey for the first time on July 1957, he was only 16 years old.
In the first match, Brazil lost 1-2 to Argentina, but Pele made his debut by scoring the only goal for Brazil.
First in 1958, it was Pele who presented Brazil with the first ever World Cup. Brazil three times during Pele's reign, first in 1962 and finally in 1970 Received the World Cup.
But in 1962, due to injury, Pele withdrew during the World Cup. Pele, who participated in a total of four World Cups (1958, 62, 66, 70) and played fourteen matches, is still the wonder of the World Cup.
